I always had an inkling I’d become a writer.

When I was 8, I entered a local writing contest and won with a story about my pet — a golden retriever named Miley. She was a Webkinz, and I made the entire thing up. Even back then, I knew the power of persuasive writing and storytelling.

At 20, I co-wrote the song that won my former music partner the 2019 Central Virginia’s Got Talent music competition.

After landing my first Junior Copywriter role, Richmond BizSense covered my strange start in the industry. Here’s the extended edition of my resume-inspired song that took me from securing an internship to a full-time position.
